A missing Duo Push is usually related to connectivity, notification permissions, battery restrictions, or an activation problem. Work through the checks below once, in order. Do not keep sending pushes repeatedly: that can create confusion, contribute to a lockout, or make a real fraudulent request harder to recognize.
Only troubleshoot a push after you personally started a sign-in through the organization’s normal application or portal. Check that the application name and other details in the Duo prompt are what you expect. If you receive a push you did not initiate, do not approve it; follow the suspicious-push article instead.
No legitimate Zerolimit technician should ask for your password, ask you to read back a Duo passcode, or tell you to approve a push generated by the technician.
On iOS, Duo Mobile may offer a push troubleshooting test in the affected account’s details. The test checks device settings, internet connectivity, reachability to Duo’s cloud service, and push registration. Follow only the suggestions shown by the official app.
If passcodes generated by the organization’s account in Duo Mobile work but push does not, the account may still be activated and the issue may be limited to push delivery. If the organization’s account is missing, marked disconnected, or cannot produce a passcode, reactivation may be required. Do not delete the account or scan a QR code from an untrusted message. Reactivation should occur through the organization’s approved device-management flow or with Zerolimit’s assistance.
A weak or filtered network can also block communication with Duo. If permitted, test once on another trusted network. Avoid public computers, unknown Wi-Fi login pages, VPN changes, certificate installation, or security-setting changes made solely to force a push through.
Stop after one pass through these checks and contact Zerolimit when:
Tell Zerolimit the application, phone platform, approximate time, network type, whether opening Duo Mobile revealed the request, and the exact error. Screenshots are useful only after hiding account details and all codes. Never provide your password, a passcode, an activation QR code, or an approval.
Support safety reminder: Zerolimit will never ask you for your password or an MFA code.
